Referral Programs

Neighbourhood Network Society

This organization  works with FCSS to put on needed programs for the community. They also work with the school liaison on certain programs. They have put on Childcare seminars and anti-bullying programs.
They also research for grant money to access certain programs.

School Liaison

The School Liaison worker is Connie Brooks. She works with the children at the school setting up various programs that benefit their needs. FCSS partners with the Liaison supplying information, volunteers, and some funding to implement these programs. We have partnered on such programs as Anti-bullying and Teambuilding Days.

Lacombe FCSS

This organization is a valuable resource. They are our link to Lifeline, Tools For School, Santa's Anonymous, Christmas Food Certificate, Coats For Kids and Parent Link. The referral coordinator provides information about services and organizations in the area.

Food Bank

This is a non-profit organization that serves Alix and surrounding area. Clients can access the food bank once a month. We supply food and various sundries. Clients may phone Food Bank board members, Glenna Carlson or Eve Keates, to set up an appointment.

UCW

This organization supports Alix FCSS in various capacities. They have provided meeting space for the board, snacks for meetings, and partner with the Alix Preschool Coordinator, Jill Hillman. They also provide meals for shut-ins, transportation, and furniture pick-up.
